David G. Allsebrook, B.B.A (Honours), M.B.A., LL.B., B.C.L.

Mr. Allsebrook practices in the field of intellectual property and IT law. He has spent several years working in the technology transfer and venture capital fields. He was a senior partner practicing intellectual property and technology law in both the corporate law and litigation departments of the major Canadian law firm Fasken Martineau, and has been recognized by LEXPERT as a leader in technology litigation.

David is experienced in conducting multiple jurisdiction litigation and arbitrations. He has represented a wide variety of organizations within a broad range of industries and technologies. He is counsel of record in numerous reported Canadian intellectual property and technology law cases and has appeared before all of the civil divisions of the Ontario Court, all levels of the Federal Court, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

David has counselled clients with respect to a wide variety of matters including acquisitions, licensing, product research and development, advertising, legislative drafting, and joint ventures. He has run anti-piracy programs for a variety of well-known international brands and characters. He has acted in commercial disputes respecting competition law, privacy, advertising, trade marks and passing off, patent infringement, trade secrets and confidential information, breach of contract, misappropriation of personality, industrial design, slander and libel.

David has published numerous papers on a variety of legal topics and has been cited in judicial decisions and academic publications.
